BREAKING: Manchester United Handed Massive Blow In Their Pursuit For In-Form German Forward

Liverpool and Manchester United do not have a single chance of signing RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner as to the player himself.

The Premier League giants want the 22-year-old due to his brilliant goalscoring form in the German league. German international has netted 17 goals in 35 matches for Leipzig this term, on the back of scoring 21 goals in 33 last season.

The young striker was also awarded the golden boot for the most goals at the Confederations Cup last year, as he is expected to play a big role as Germany look to defend their World Cup title.

That sparking form has attracted Liverpool and United, as talkSPORT claims the Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is particularly keen, along with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

However, Werner has rubbished links with a move away from the German side and insists he is going nowhere this summer. Speaking after Sunday’s 0-0 draw with his former team Stuttgart, the striker said: “Next year, definitely, I will stay in Leipzig.”

Werner still has four years left on his RB Leipzig contract, which runs until 2022.
