Chelsea want to sign Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi. Icardi’s stay at the San Siro has been the case of growing speculation during recent transfer windows after a falling-out with Inter’s fans and his fine goalscoring form, which has continued this campaign with 30 goals in just 38 Serie A games.
The Nerazzurri could face a fight to keep the 25-year-old again this term if they miss out on the Champions League, and despite acknowledging that Inter have always been his team, Icardi claimed that his future is still undecided.
The Argentine striker was the key player for Inter this season, He scored many important goals and helped the club to get Champions League ticket for the next season. Despite his impressive season Jorge Sampaoli didn’t name Mauro in the Argentine squad for the World Cup. In January Real Madrid were very close to sign 25-year-old but negotiation failed.
Icardi, who has been linked with the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid in the past, still has three seasons left on his current deal.
