JUST IN: Manchester United Handed Massive Boost To Secure £90m Super Star’s Signature

Barcelona are hoping to complete the signing of RB Leipzig star next week after missing out on Paul Pogba. The La Liga champions have been searching the globe for a replacement for the legendary Andres Iniesta this summer, but their attempts have fallen apart.

Efforts to sign Paul Pogba look set to fail – that’s despite his agent Mino Raiola’s best attempts to ship him out at Old Trafford – with the club needing to sell first before they could sanction the Frenchman’s likely £110 million asking price.

With Frenchman out of their price range, Barcelona have since looked at Paris Saint-Germain ace Adrien Rabiot and Ajax youngster Frenkie De Jong – but both deals have proved complicated.

Adrien Rabiot’s future at Ligue 1 champions remains under the spotlight and with his contract due to expire next summer, he could yet move on this summer or in January should an agreement not be reached.

And now according to reports in Catalan-based publication Sport, Spanish champions have turned their attention to Leipzig star Kevin Kampl, who is thought to be valued at around €40 million and the two clubs are said to be well down the line regarding negotiations over a deal.

The 27-year-old has previously played for RB Salzburg, Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen – but a move to Barcelona would catapult his name into the headlines like never before.
