A number of high-profile names have been touted as his replacement, including Arsene Wenger and Mauricio Pochettino.
United have been linked with a move for former star Cristiano Ronaldo, as well as Gareth Bale, who had reportedly fallen out with Zidane at the Bernabeu and was seeking a move away.
